Following renovations to the concrete box base building, Backcountry became a destination brewery attracting both locals and tourists. Bringing warmth, character and humor with a ski-chalet feel transformed the nondescript Squamish industrial location. An intentional choice allows the production space to be visible from the tasting lounge, and a full kitchen turns out pizzas that accompany the beer. The tasting room has been expanded with a subsequent renovation, and a shipping container patio added for the warmer months.
